March 13-14, 2010--The University of Virginia Health System presents the 'Weekend Warrior' Mini-Nutrition Support Traineeship. This program covers a variety of issues in nutrition support, including enteral and parenteral nutrition, fluid and electrolytes, feeding the obese patient, feeding the post surgical patient and more.

This 2-day 'hands-on' workshop is designed to prepare dietitians for their role as an integral part of the diabetes team. The workshop provides guided exercises that simulate patient encounters.
The workshop has been presented to 1081 registered dietitians in 32 locations since it began in 1994.

The Tennessee Diabetes Prevention and Control Program along with Vanderbilt School of Medicine and the Eskind Diabetes Center are offering a CME opportunity to Tennessee health care providers who treat patients with diabetes.
