Clarksville Montgomery County Community Action Agency Head Start Program
Duties:Identify the nutritional needs of each child and provide nutrition intervention as needed; work with Child Service Manager for Nutrition and Health to formulate the nutrition section of the annual work plan and develop nutrition related policies; act as liason for the program with other community food and nutrition agencies such as WIC; design, modify and approve menus to ensure individual needs are met and that menus comply with USDA's Child and Adult Care Food Program and Head Start Performance standards; conduct on site kitchen and classroom site visits to ensure menu compliance and sanitary service; provide nutrition training for Head Start families and staff annually.

Nutritionist 2 position available in Sumner County (County # 83). Position provides nutrition assessment and counseling for the WIC program, MNT for Health Department patients, and supervision of nutrition and breastfeeding staff. If interested, but are not on the State Nutr 2 register, you must apply online ( www.tennessee.gov ) no later than 8 PM July 14. Only applicants on this new register can be considered for this position. You must be an RD and have at least one year of experience outside of your internship, or be a master's degreed RD, to be eligible as a State Nutritionist 2. If would like to be considered for any State Nutritionist 2 position now or in the future, you need to go ahead and submit an application now. Applications stay current for 14 months.

Montgomery County Health Department, Clarksville
Must have CDR or RD eligible status with one year of clinical dietetic experience. Two positions available:
1. Diabetes Team RD to provide health tracking and routine evaluation of diabetic patients, and making recommendations for appropriate lifestyle changes for nutritional and overall health improvements.
2. WIC nutritionist (RD) to provide nutrition assessment and counseling for pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children to age 5, including breastfeeding promotion and support, and community nutrition activities.
